When You Wish Upon a Star…

Wow, that is a bummer…

There are some things in life that I wish for, even though I know chances of them coming true are slim. I wish that I could get one of the members from the 80s band Pet Shop Boys to become the voice on my car’s GPS. And I’ll take either member, I’m not picky. I just really like their accent much more the robotic chick that still somehow sounds mean.

I desperately want HGTV to do a “House Hunters – Where are they now?” episode featuring some of the shows more horrible couples who bicker and complain about every light fixture and paint color. Are they still married, still fighting, or happily divorced?

My husband and son watch A LOT of sports. I do not watch them but no matter where I am in the house I usually have to hear it. I think it would sound much better if the quiet, hushed accented commentators from golf would switch with the good ol’ southern boys and their fab sayings from NASCAR. It would be more interesting to hear them yell “Boogity Boogity Boo!” each time right before they tee off. It bothers me that their clothes are so loud but the game is so quiet.

I really, really, want the Geico gecko to be real and I want him to my friend. I would take him everywhere with me. I would hide him in my purse and take him out when I was bored waiting in line at a store or stuck in traffic. I know, really, really weird.

Most of these scenarios are not going to happen anytime soon, even if I think they are great ideas. Although one idea of mine can become a reality. I asked some of the most stylish women I know to give me their 3 must haves for fall. And they answered.  Sometimes “Ask and you shall receive” really does work. Do you hear me Geico??? I’m begging…

New fall arrivals at Just Girls Boutique

Up first is Kristen DiMenna from Just Girls Boutique in Newtown Square. Just Girls is the “younger sister” to the Elizabeth Maar Boutiques, my home away from home. Just Girls has two locations to visit, offering hip young contemporary woman’s boutique featuring jeans & T’s to prom gowns. A co-worker and a friend, Kristen brings an aspect to trends that make them accessible, and most importantly, wearable. She styles clothes in a way that reflects her positive and fun attitude, always using color and just the right amount of accessories, mixing dressy with casual, or girly with tough. You can follow her on Pinterest by clicking here.

Her 3 must have items from Just Girls Boutique for the upcoming fall season? Skinny jeans, cozy fall sweaters from the brand 360, and sparkly, fun, sequin clutches from BCBG. I love that she is pairing the evening bags with a day outfit to mix things up!

*Insider Tip – There are 2 locations of the Just Girls Boutique and they have different inventory. Some of it does overlap, which is great news if you don’t see your size in an item, the staff will be happy to check the other location for you. If you like what you see hit up both for the best selection. Limited on time? Call in ahead for what you are looking for and the staff will be happy to pull selections from both stores together at the location that serves you best.

  1. Kinda off the topic but Yes! House Hunter, How are they now? I was always disappointed when they followed up in a few months and the house wasn’t completely put together, You must feel that way as a Stylist! Please don’t ever hesitate to critique my OOTD, in my style menu. 😉
